“ The supreme pizza and cold beer was excellent. Our server was very busy but pleasant and kind. The man who seated us was kind of impersonal and could have possibly filled in holes to make sure we had what we needed. I would have liked some pizza cheese and pepper flakes, not first world problems just nice to see hosts compliment other staff when busy. Good band upstairs but we were not given the option to go up (host). Cute place and a nice option in this great little town! ”
“ Unique ambiance with train station memorabilia all around. Has a model train set that moves on a track near the ceiling and around the room. The young kids seem to love watching the train go around the room about every 15 minutes. Service was very friendly and attentive. We had chicken wings which were good but I would've liked to have been just a bit crispier same for the fish and chips. Also had a root beer float which just seems to be a must have dessert after a meal in this atmosphere. ”
“ Service was timely (could have been a tad friendlier) and the pulled pork sandwich was delicious (a bit pricey). Surprised it didn't come with chips though. And I had to track down the bbq sauces -- would have been nice to have a team member notice I was without sauce and bring them over. That said, the venue is great with tons of indoor and outdoor seating and the food was so good I didn't care about the price. ”
“ Passing through Traveler's Rest we found this unique restaurant. The service was amazing and food was great. They also are very kid friendly and have kids' meals that come in a train shaped box with a surprise toy. We were a large party and the service was 5 stars. I highly recommend and would be back if I'm in town again. ”
“ This was a last minute lunch for our family and once we saw that this was an old train depot/station we knew we had to stop. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Not to mention the amazing atmosphere! WOW there is so much to look at and talk about with the family. Would definitely recommend stopping if you're rolling through the area! ”
“ Food is always amazing here. Whistle Stop is a bit pricey but the food is great. They have inside and a deck seating. Deck overlooks the Swamp Rabbit trail. So there is always people moving around. Service was a little slow but worth the wait. Next place to enjoy a meal seat and talk and just let the world go by. ”
“ Fantastic spot! I wish there was some place like this back home. Food was great, they have a great patio and live music all the time. AND they have an Ice Cream shop right here so you can get you float on even at the bar. ”
“ Atmosphere was fun and old fashion. Service seemed okay. But chicken salad needed mayo of which she brought. Serving sizes are wonderful. ”
